Lemongrass & White Patchouli
Lemongrass looks a little like an oversized spring onion with the same swollen base, but with a woodier stalk and composed of tightly packed grey-green leaves. The fragrance and flavour are unique - lemony, but sweet - and is quite subtle until the stalk is cut or bashed, at which time the oil is extracted.
It is used by healthcare providers to treat digestive problems and high blood pressure. In fact, lemongrass is popular in helping to relieve stress and anxiety. Primarily it is utilised to relieve digestive issues and to reduce bodily aches and pains. Originating from tropical climates within South Asia, White Patchouli is a strongly scented shrub. The essential oil is extracted from the Patchouli plant which sports highly distinctive flowers in an almost cone shape, that blossom up between its leaves. This plant comes from the same family of other, more well-known herbs, such as mint, sage and lavender. It helps easing symptoms of conditions like colds, headaches and even helps relieving damped periods of anxiety.
